Dear Parents,
We hope you had a fantastic holiday and welcome your child to Year 1. This week we are enjoying getting to know your child.
Next week, we will be starting our topic work. The main focus will be ‘ourselves and our families’. Please feel free to send in the following which will be used for display purposes.

Your child is allowed to bring in one pencil case which will be kept in school.
We will continue to use our maths scheme ‘Abacus’ with plenty of maths activities. Ongoing language work will include revision of initial sounds, blends and the enjoyment of books.

No ties on these days. Please ensure all clothing and pumps are clearly labelled with the child’s name.
Reading Books:
Library Books:
These will be changed every Wednesday if your child returns their finished library book.
Water Bottles.
In Year 1, water bottles are sent home every night to be washed and refilled for the next morning.
