YOUNG VOICESby kstockYSGOL PEN-Y-BRYN
Parent/carer information letter
Young Voices @ Manchester Evening News Arena-
Dear Parent/carer,
Re: Young Voices, Tuesday 8th December 2009
Your son/daughter is included on a visit to the Manchester Evening News Arena where he/she will participate in the Young Voices Concert.
The group will leave from school at 11.30 am and is expected to return by 11.30pm, please provide TWO packed lunches for your child on this day. Travel will be by coach. You child should wear school uniform which includes a plain white t-shirt/polo shirt. They will need to wear their school jumpers but ties will not be necessary. They will also need a tiny battery torch (with no beam….torches with beams destroy the starlight effect) and can bring a red and white santa hat.
The member of staff in charge of the group is Ms Love and other accompanying teaching staff are Mr. Edwards and Mrs Kelman. Mrs Conchie, Mrs Stock, Mrs Harvey and Mrs Patrick will also be accompanying the children.
There will be a total of 41 children on the visit comprising of a group of children from Years 5 and 6.
Tell.0161 950 5000 Telephone No. 01492 531260 (emergency use only)
Mobile No. 07759307568
The cost of the visit is £9.00 which covers transport to and from the venue.
Payment should have been to school by now, thank you for your co-operation.
Insurance provided by school covers all legal liability of the school to young people on the visit but does not provide personal accident cover where the school has no liability.
A system of emergency contact has been arranged as follows:
Teacher in Charge/Headteacher contacts School contacts Home.
The code of conduct which your child will be required to follow is the same as expected within school. Please discuss this with your child as this will help them to understand the importance of good behaviour in maintaining a safe and happy environment.
We have been advised this year that children need to be collected from the car park at Ysgol Pen-y-Bryn. No children will be allowed to go with parents after the concert from the MEN Arena.
In the meantime please complete and return the attached Educational Visits parental consent form.
